Il Riposo del Guerriero is the Italian poster for the French film Le Repos du guerrier, directed by Roger Vadim in the early 1960s, starring Brigitte Bardot and Robert Hossein. The film is adapted from the novel by Christiane Rochefortand belongs to the world of French cinema of the period, combining romantic drama, destructive passion and modern glamour.

The poster gives strong prominence to Brigitte Bardot, one of the great icons of European cinema, shown in a sensual and dramatic pose. In the background, the blue-toned face of Robert Hossein adds a more mysterious and psychological atmosphere. The contrast between glamorous photography, cool colour tones and the large yellow title gives the composition a powerful visual impact.

This Italian release poster perfectly reflects the style of 1960s cinema advertising: spectacular photographic composition, emphasis on star appeal, intense colours and monumental typography.
