Fiat Automobile, circa 1928
Bronze with dark brown patina
Mounted on a green veined marble base
Bronze dimensions: approx. 6 × 31 × 12 cm
Overall dimensions (with base): approx. 4 × 43 × 24 cm
This bronze sculpture depicts a Fiat racing automobile from the late 1920s, interpreted in a highly dynamic and expressive style. Rather than a literal mechanical rendering, the artist emphasizes movement, speed, and modernity, characteristic of the interwar period.
The wheels and body are deliberately distorted and elongated, with the front of the vehicle appearing to dissolve into textured bronze, evoking the futurist fascination with motion, technology, and industrial power. The work strongly reflects the aesthetics of Art Deco and Futurist sculpture of the 1920s–1930s.
The bronze features a rich, warm patina and is mounted on an elegant green marble plinth, typical of early 20th-century sculptural presentations. A partially legible engraved signature or inscription is visible on the side of the bronze, enhancing the work’s artistic and collectible interest, although a precise attribution remains to be confirmed.
