PLUMET Charles

ARCHITECTE ( 1861 - 1928 )

Charles Plumet was born in 1861. An architect by training, he designed buildings in medieval and early French Renaissance styles. He collaborated with Tony Selmersheim (1871–1971) on the creation of Art Nouveau interiors and furniture. [1] Plumet became a member of *L'Art dans Tout* ("Art in Everything"), an association of architects, painters, and sculptors that actively worked to revitalize the decorative arts between 1896 and 1901, exploring styles ranging from adapted medieval forms to Art Nouveau. Other members included Tony Selmersheim, Henri Sauvage, Henri Nocq, Alexandre Charpentier, Félix Aubert, Jean Dampt, and Étienne Moreau-Nélaton. (Source: Wikipedia)
