Georges Richard (1863 in Paris - 1922 in Rouen) is a French racing driver and entrepreneur, pioneer of the automobile industry, co-founder of the brand Richard-Brasier.
In 1900 Georges joined the commission for the execution of competitions in the Automobile framework during the Sports of the Universal Exhibition of 1900 -not officially recognized by the Olympic Committee-, during the year of the Summer Olympic Games of 1900.
From 1897 to 1900 the two brothers also took part in motor races with their creations. Georges competed eight times, obtaining a fifth place at the 1898 Paris-Bordeaux (as well as two 21st place results at the 1897 Paris-Trouville and 1898 Marseille-Nice); Max was at best 32nd at the same Paris-Trouville, in only two races.
In 1905, following a meeting with Baron Henri de Rothschild, Georges Richard founded the company Unic, now known as Iveco.
He died in a car accident on June 8, 1922 while travelling to Rouen.
