Original and promotional poster for Hotel Lutetia, printed around the 1930s by the famous printer Draeger.

On this poster is the emblem of Paris
Its name is derived from the former name of Paris, Lutèce, the motto (Fluctuat nec mergitur) and the arms of the city of Paris appearing in various places in the hotel and on the upper right displays it.

The Art Deco period is reinforced on this poster by the Colours of our National Flag Blue, White and Red

In 1920, this hotel witnessed the artistic revival of the inter-war period, welcoming many painters and writers (Picasso, Matisse, André Gide who lived there all year round, Roger Martin du Gard, James Joyce who played the piano in the living rooms at night, Samuel Beckett, Saint-Exupéry and André Malraux, the couple Consuelo and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry lived there in 1936.
