Suzanne Rachel Flore Lenglen is a French tennis player, born on May 24, 1899 in Paris where she died on July 4, 1938. Nicknamed "la Divine", she was the first international star of women's tennis.
She has records from another time: 241 titles, a series of 181 victories, and a 98% percentage of matches won (341-7). She won six times at the French Open, six times at Wimbledon, and won the Olympic gold medal in women's singles at the Antwerp Games in 1920. The second main court of the Roland-Garros stadium bears her name

1921: the Académie des sports awards her the first prize, the gold medal in women's sports, for the most successful sportswoman of the year.
1924: consecrated Queen of Sport following a referendum organized by L'Auto.
1978: member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
