Description:
Rare and striking modernist advertising poster for DILECTA bicycles, designed in 1928 by Georges Faure. The composition is a powerful example of Cubist and Art Deco graphic design from the interwar period.
A stylised cyclist is intersected by a bold red and yellow lightning bolt, symbolising speed, energy and mechanical performance. Geometric forms, strong colour contrasts and monumental typography give the poster exceptional visual impact, making it a key work of French avant-garde advertising of the late 1920s.
