Bernard Villemot is the finest French posterist of the past thirty years. Although the widespread use of photo lithography and the reduced role of the poster resulted in fewer distinguished posters since World War II, Villemot has been a notable exception. Colorful, clever and cheerful, Villemot's posters have been one of the joys of visiting Paris the last few years. Villemot's strength lies in his ability to reduce all messages to simple lines and bold colors, combined with an engaging and irresistible charm.
